Our Friends the Pollinators

Dr Dino Martins is an entomologist and evolutionary biologist with a PhD in Organismic and Evolutionary Biology from Harvard University. His work concentrates on the vital importance pollinators play in our lives. His main message is to celebrate the biodiversity that underpins the life support systems of the planet and the essential ecosystem services that insects provide.


Although Dino’s work is mostly focused in East Africa, he encourages us all to do our bit, so come and help us conserve pollinators and restore habitats on the next community garden day! Here are our some of our friends – bees, butterflies hard at work in Colebrooke Row…
